Here you can find useful information during your stay with us.
ALGODONALES
The village of Algodonales is very quiet, the people are friendly and it is an easy place to live.
Most of the restaurants, shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and banks (cash machines), are located in the central square.
The restaurants are open from 7:00 a.m. to midnight. You can have breakfast in most of them. You can also order sandwiches to take away.
TIP: Good to know, "tapa"= small meal, you can eat two or three different tapas for dinner, "media ración" = double the size of a tapa. "ración" = a big plate, normally for sharing with another person or if you are very hungry! Please, don't miss the typical breakfast, a toast with olive oil and iberic jam.
You don't need to buy water, You can drink water from the tap and Algodonales has natural water sources on the streets. Use a reusable bottle or at least refill the same plastic bottle of water every single day: save money, reduce the use of plastic and help to save the Planet!
PACK LUNCH: We will spend the day flying in the mountains and sometimes there isn’t time to stop for lunch in a restaurant. We recommend you bring a packed lunch with you, water and everything you need to pass the day.
If there will be "parawaiting" then, of course, we will move to the nearest restaurant or village for coffee or taste proper Spanish food.

The shuttle departs from Algodonales on Saturdays at 10:30 h and arrives at Malaga airport at approx. 12:30 h

FAI IPPI CARD APPLICATION
If you want to apply for an FAI IPPI Card you must be a member of any National Federation: Our School is recognized by the RFAE & FEADA (Spanish) and the BHPA (British).
So, you must join one of these associations:
If you live in Spain we recommend joining the FEADA.
If you are a student living in the UK or any other country, we recommend you join the BHPA.
Once you finish your course, We will give you a Certificate and you will get your BHPA CP license. After that, you can apply online for your FAI IPPI Card 3 on the BHPA's website.
⚠ Please notice that those pilots who are not residents of the UK will not be covered by the Third Party Insurance when they are not flying in the UK.
JOIN THE BHPA
Please use the online form to apply for membership in the British Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association (BHPA).
In the UK free flight is supported and administered by the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association.
BHPA oversees pilot and instructor training standards, provides, technical support such as airworthiness standards, provides insurance for pilots... and a host of other services, providing the infrastructure within which UK hang gliding and paragliding thrive.
If you are a student living in UK we recommend you join the BHPA. You need to apply for an Annual Flying Member to get your certificate after the course.
